Don’t Look Back – Jennifer L. Armentrout

Don't Look BackDon’t Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 OHMYGOSHTHISWASAMAZING STARS, BECAUSE THIS BOOK DESERVES IT. YOU SHOULD GO READ IT. RIGHT. NOW.

Some thoughts:

-THE PLOT WAS SO AWESOME, I CAN’T EVEN.
-It had a very accurate portrayal of someone who has amnesia and what thy’re going through.
-It’s a really “Edge of your seat kind of your book”, and when I say edge of your seat I mean OHMYGOD STAHP. I NEED TIME TO BREATH.
-Mystery, thriller, and romance all combined to make one amazing plot.
-It always keep you guessing what really happened to the protagonist and the whole story behind it.
-The pacing of uncovering each clue was written very well. Too well if you ask me…
-Every detail of the book was obviously carefully planned out. Anything that happened, mentioned or seen earlier in the book could affect the plot in so many ways. It all plays a part in the conclusion of the story. You really have to read this book carefully, or else you might not understand what’s going on late in the book.
-All the could-be-suspects are all possible, and it makes you SO FRUSTRATED. It’s a good kind of frustrated, don’t worry.
-And that twist. WHAT WAS THAT. IT TORE MY BRAIN APART AND PLAYED WITH IT. NO. MY. BRAIN. EXPLODED. UN-FREAKING-BELIEVABLE. EVEN THE TWIST WAS WRITTEN WELL, WHAT EVEN?

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK. IT’S A REALLY GOOD READ. NOT EVEN ONE PART WAS BORING. I do think you should read it in broad daylight though… I read this at night (I finished at around 3 AM, I think…), and it was NOT a good idea. Creeped out to the max…

The Lux series and this novel are both really good books, but they’re very different, so I guess they’re excellent in their own way? Don’t Look Back has more of a mysterious feel to it, but less of the romance. The Lux series focuses more on the romance aspect, and everything is out in the open, and while we all can’t deny that one of the main reasons why we finished the Lux series is because of Damon, it also has a very good plot, so it depends what genre suits you more. ๐Ÿ™‚
