Love Fortunes and Other Disasters – Kimberly Karalius

Love Fortunes and Other Disasters (Grimbaud, #1)Love Fortunes and Other Disasters by Kimberly Karalius
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a very light and feel good read. I recommend it to get you out of reading slumps, because it has a really easy plot to follow.

Some thoughts:

-It has a very interesting plot and a unique concept. Just because I said the plot was easy to follow doesn’t mean that it’s a no-brainer read. You still have to think at times. I really thought the plot was common until I read about the charms in the book and that it actually works. Love Fortunes and Other Disasters is like a YA Contemporary with a hint of fantasy to it.
-Heroine is a bit uptight at first, then she grows on you after a while.
-Very lovable hero. Annoyingly sensitive at first, but you’ll love him. Promise ❤
-A bit of mystery concerning who Zita really is.
-There was a part of the book when I couldn’t continue reading… The book got a bit stale at some point, but after that small part in the book (planning of revolution), the story picks up and quickly becomes very entertaining.
-Very good twist, albeit not a big one, but it was very well written.
-LOVED the conclusion, because HAPPY ENDING!!! And who doesn’t love a happy ending??

I hope you’ll like the book as much I did, if you ever decide to read it! 🙂
